Full Job Description
Creative technical work providing assistance in developing content and graphic design for brochures, flyers, banners, signs, stationary and other printed materials to communicate city programs, events and services. Duties include developing, editing and assembling print and digital materials and interfacing with various city departments. This position will offer efficient customer service and project request fulfillment, and hands-on setup assistance for event and facility signage.
High school graduation or course completion in technical school. Have creativity in developing contents and graphics in a pleasing manner, be able to work quickly to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment; must be proficient in using Creative Suite. Ability to lift large paper rolls and boxes and to operate various printers, copiers and paper cutting machines, mounting equipment. Skills test will be administered as a measure.
Work schedule is flexible primarily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; approximately 20-hour work week. Some additional night or weekend event coverage may occur.
This position will require mostly desk work, with the addition of occasional hands-on work in the marketing printer area/workroom
and during City events.
